Emma's paintings and artworks explore femininity, nature and emotion. Her work is inspired by the natural landscapes where she lives, making paintings between figuration and abstraction, and exploring embodiment and performativity. Emma studied Painting and Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art, & Camberwell College of the Arts. Emma’s work is included in many public and private collections internationally. Exhibitions and Commissions include: The Institute of Contemporary Art, London; The Victoria & Albert Museum; Tate Gallery, London; Vienna Succession Gallery; PS1, New York, Royal Institute of British Architects; The Henry Moore Foundation; English Heritage; Northern Arts; Tate Gallery, Liverpool; Manifesta 3; Venice Biennale; Arts Council of England. Emma lives and works in the Surrey & Sussex Downs, Weald, and Coast.
